why did you decide to use gocco?
"I used to screen print in my small apartment—it wasn't convenient to say the least. When I discovered the Gocco printer the ease of use sold me on it immediately. "
what do you love about gocco?
"I love the look of hand-printed pieces. I also LOVE that I don't have to apply photo-emulsion in my closet—hoping for the best."
how do you feel about the death of gocco? Do you see any parallel to Polaroid film?
"I am so bummed! It seems like so many people use them that there must be a market. People constantly ask me about them and everyone always wants to know where they can get their own. I can see the parallel to Polaroid film, it just doesn't hurt as badly since I don't shoot photos that often! "
are you finding hacks or just using other print methods?
"I haven't found any hacks yet.. I've just slowed down with the amount of new prints that I do."
are you squirreling away your dwindling gocco supplies?
"I had full intentions of stock-piling a while back but I procrastinated too long. Now it's too late."
have you seen an increase in demand for gocco prints now that they've discontinued the product?
"I haven't seen an increase in demand for Gocco prints.. just an increase in demand for printing supplies. The prices have gone through the roof."
